VARDAMAN, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Calhoun County sheriff says the search for a man who fled from officers continues.

According to Webster County Sheriff Tim Mitchell, Mathiston police pulled over the car of Khirstopher Box, 32, Tuesday night when he jumped out and ran. Those officers later discovered a meth lab in the car.

Box was tracked to Calhoun County, where the search is ongoing just west of Vardaman.

Sheriff Greg Pollan says law enforcement have reason to believe Box is not armed.

Residents in the area are no longer ordered to stay inside.

Anyone with information about Box or his whereabouts should call the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office at (662) 412-3107 or the Webster County Sheriff's Office at (662) 258-7701.
