PITTSBORO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A stretch of Highway 9 in northern Calhoun County has repoened.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the highway is shutdown because of a broken natural gas line.
An MHP spokesperson says a work crew was working north of Pittsboro near County Road 102 when the line was cut by accident.
Highway 9 was closed around 9:30 a.m. but gas company officials were able to contain the break and the roadway reopened 30 minutes later.
