PITTSBORO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Three people faces charges in Calhoun County after a two-year-old child was found walking on a county road Sunday morning.

Sheriff Greg Pollan says a passerby saw the child and called 911 when they couldn't get anyone to answer the door.

Deputies heard a baby crying inside the home when they arrived and were able to make their way inside.

Pollan says they  found the babysitter, Kathy Bone, 43, unresponsive on the couch and a five-month-old baby lying on a pallet on the floor crying.

He says deputies found a small amount of marijuana and prescription pills near the child.

The children's mother, Daphne Bias, 30, arrived home a short time later and she and Bone were arrested and charged with child endangerment and neglect.

The children's father, Jackie Bias, 31, was arrested Tuesday.

The children are in the custody of the Department of Human Services.
