BRUCE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Local police say they have connected a man who scammed a Bruce convenience store in December with similar cases in Booneville and Belmont.
Bruce police say the man entered Clint's Pit Stop and placed a note on expensive merchandise in the store without being noticed. The note suggested he paid for the products at an earlier date.
He then told the cashier he was in the store a few days ago and paid another cashier for the products, but it was not in stock at the time.
Instead of taking the merchandise, he asked the cashier to refund his money and left with the cash.
Bruce police have spoken with officials at a gas station in Booneville who said the man scammed their business in the same manner in May 2013.
Belmont police also spoke with WTVA and said the same man is wanted in their town for a similar case.
Anyone with information about the individual is asked to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department at 662-412-3107.
