BRUCE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Calhoun County sheriff deputies arrested a man who broke into a home while a family was asleep inside.

Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says Paul Hamilton broke into a home around 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Pollan said Hamilton broke into a home in Bruce and stole three pistols, a rifle, and several pieces of jewelry.

The family didn’t realize that their home had been broken into until later that afternoon.

Pollan says his investigators linked Hamilton to the burglary because he dropped a pair of gloves at the home.

Hamilton's bond was set at $50,000.
