HOLLAND, Mich. (WTVA) -- Haworth Industries, a Michigan-based furniture manufacturer, confirms the company eliminated some jobs during the month of July.
A company spokeswoman tells WTVA.com the reduction in force involved less than 40 positions.
The company operates a manufacturing facility in Bruce.
When asked about job cuts in Calhoun County, she said she could not discuss specifics of the reduction.
She did stop short of calling it a layoff.
Company officials say the reduction was in response to economic conditions and realignments in its business units.
