VARDAMAN, Miss. (WTVA) -- Calhoun County authorities have arrested four people in a home invasion in Vardaman early Sunday morning.

Vardaman Police Chief Kenneth Scott tells WTVA.com two people broke into a home on Richard Street around 12:20 a.m.

He says an elderly man inside the home was assaulted before the money was taken.

Scott says investigators got a break in the case when one of the people who broke into the home dropped their cellphone.

Authorities say Dulaney Collums, 20, of Thorn is charged with aggravated assault of a vulnerable adult and burglary.

Austen Martin, 18, of Houston is charged with strong armed robbery and burglary.

Scott says they have also charged Andrew Fowler, 18, of Tupelo and Christopher Haimes, 16, of Calhoun City with burglary.

The chief says the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department, Houston Police Department and Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department assisted in the investigation.
