BRUCE, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Bruce Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff's Department are looking for a man who scammed a local convenience store.

Authorities said the suspect entered Clint's Pit Stop on December 23 and placed a note on some Rotella Oil without being seen. The note said several jugs of the oil had already been purchased by the man.

He then told the cashier he was in the store a few days ago and paid another cashier for the merchandise, but it was not in stock at the time. He added he no longer wanted the merchandise but would like his money back instead.

The subject left the store with $166 in cash.

Officials ask anyone with information about the individual to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department at 662-412-3107.
