PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Highway Patrol now says it was a Pontotoc city school bus instead of a Pontotoc County school bus involved in a traffic accident Thursday afternoon.
Trooper Ray Hall said the bus was involved in an accident with a box truck on Highway 338 around 3:30 p.m.
He said 38 children and the driver were on the bus, but no one was hurt.
According to Hall, the bus had stopped to unload children when it was struck from behind by the truck.
Pontotoc County Sheriff Leo Mask said an ambulance was sent to the scene as a precaution.
