OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss' basketball team will play Wisconsin on Friday at 11:40 a.m. in Kansas City in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
The Rebels (26-8) earned an automatic bid to the Big Dance by defeating Florida, 66-63, in the SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday.
Ole Miss is the No. 12 seed in the West Region. Wisconsin (23-11) is the No. 5 seed. The Badgers lost to Ohio State, 50-43, in Sunday's Big Ten Tournament title game.
The Rebels are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2002. Florida and Missouri were the only other SEC teams to make the Big Dance while Southern Miss, Alabama, Tennessee and defending national champion Kentucky were left out of the 68-team field.
