OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) — An Oxford man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge over threats made about a possible attack the city's high school.

Joshua Brandon Pillault, 21, entered the plea in U. S. District Court in Oxford Thursday afternoon.

Pillault pleaded guilty to one count of communicating a threat in interstate and foreign commerce.

A federal indictment says Pillault made the threats in October in the chat room of the online game "Runescape."

Court documents say he mentioned he would get guns, Molotov cocktails and pipe bombs and use them to level Oxford High School.

Pillault was a former student at the school.

He will be sentenced at a later date.
