TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Investigators with the Tupelo Police Department say a man is now behind bars, charged with aggravated assault, in connection with a stabbing Monday night.
Authorities say the victim was taken from the residence on Reed Street to North Mississippi Medical center.
He was treated for stab wounds.
After interviewing the victim, the suspect was identified as Effrain Milan, 22, from Mexico.
Milan was arrested Tuesday.
He will be arraigned on Wednesday, September 19.
Bond will be set at that time.
