CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) - People from all over north Mississippi representing various organizations converged at the Corinth National Cemetery to honor veterans.

A total of 462 wreaths were put out amongst 7,000+ graves.

Following the ceremony at the cemetery, American Legion riders held a food drive where people could donate canned food items.

The riders even participated in a charitable jingle bell ride.

All donated food goes to church pantries.

"We pay tribute to the ones that we lost," adds Garry Briggs, finance committee member for American Legion Mississippi. "Even the ones that we never got back -- the MIAs, POWs -- and yet by the same token, we feel like we need to help those less fortunate than we are."

Following the jingle bell ride there was a cookout for everyone at American Legion Post 6.
