CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two women died in a one-car accident Wednesday afternoon in Corinth.
Police Chief David Lancaster says Pheonix D. Peacher, 18, and Samantha Evetts, 20, both of Corinth, died at the scene of the accident.
Lancaster says Peacher was driving west on Highway 72 when she lost control of the vehicle.
The car ran off the roadway and went down an embankment before going airborne and cutting a utility pole in half.
Peacher and Evetts were not wearing seatbelts.
The accident happened around 1:45 p.m. just east of County Road 303.
