Two narcotics arrests in Alcorn Co.

CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- Alcorn County deputies made two narcotics arrest Tuesday.

The Alcorn County Narcotics Unit arrested James Derrick, 45, of Walnut, following a traffic stop where deputies discovered he had two circuit court indictments for possession of two or more precursors and intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Derricks' bond was set at $20,000.

Deputies made an unrelated arrest drug arrest after a two-month investigation.

Corinth resident Lanny C. Holt, 52, was arrested for two counts of sale of a controlled substance.

Officials say Holt was on probation at the time of the arrest and was charged with the two more counts of sale of controlled substance at the Alcorn County Justice Center.

Holt's bond was set at $10,000 by Judge Steve Little.
