TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Four children were injured, including two critically, following a traffic accident in Alcorn County Friday morning.
A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson says the accident happened on Highway 45 near the K & K truck Stop south of Corinth.
Troopers say Jesus Najera, 36, of Pontotoc was driving an SUV when it apparently had a blow out and he lost control of the vehicle.
The SUV left the roadway and crashed into some trees along the roadway, ejecting a two-year-old passenger.
The child and a 12-year-old in the SUV were transported to Lebonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis in critical condition.
Two other children, age 11 and 13, were taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth with serious injuries.
Trooper say Najera suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The wreck remains under investigation.
