CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) — Local law enforcement is looking for a car believed to be involved in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening in Corinth.

Police Captain Mike Shipman said a 17-year-old girl was struck before 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Country Lane Apartments on Proper Street.

She was not seriously hurt.

Still, officers are looking for a gold Pontiac G6 with a Mississippi State University license plate.

Shipman did not release the driver's name but did say she's from Tupelo and she knew the teenage girl who was struck.
