TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Kossuth teenager missing since Sunday morning has been found safe in an apparent runaway case, according to investigators.

Alcorn County Investigator Tommy Hopkins says Madison Hales, 17, was spotted in Iuka during the Kossuth-Tishomingo County softball game by a parent at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Hales is a member of the Kossuth High School softball team.

Hopkins said the apparent cause of the disappearance was a disagreement between Hales and her parents that caused her to leave her house around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

"She's better today since she found out we were really concerned about her," Hopkins said. "It seems to be a runaway case."

Hales was found healthy and safe, according to authorities.
