CORINTH, Miss. (AP) -- James Meredith, a leader of desegregation of the University of Mississippi in the 1960s, will be in Corinth on Thursday for a presentation and book-signing.

The Daily Corinthian reports Meredith will sign his memoir, "A Mission from God,'' at 3 p.m. at the Corinth Library.

Then at 6 p.m., he will lead a discussion at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Scott St.

St. Mark Pastor Kim Ratliff said Meredith's presentation is open to the public.
