CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- One man is hospitalized and another in jail following a shooting on a Corinth street Monday night.
Captain Ralph Dance says Andraea Stovall, 29, of Corinth shot at the corner of Young Street and Proper Street around 7:30 p.m.
Dance says another car pulled up next to Stovall's vehicle and the passenger inside fired three shots into the car.
Stovall was hit twice in the chest and one of the bullets traveled through him and into his arm.
Both cars let the intersection, but Stovall was involved in an accident with another vehicle a short time later.
Stovall told the driver of that car he had been shot, and the driver got in Stovall's car and drove him to the Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Stovall is currently listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit.
Dance says the investigation lead to the arrest of Bacarra Hill, 26, of Corinth.
Hill will make a court appearance Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Dance says Hill had suffered a head injury in an altercation about an hour before the shooting.
Authorities say Stovall was not involved in the altercation, but believe Hill thought the person was riding in Stovall's car.
Dance says investigators have not recovered a weapon.
