CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- If you live in Corinth, you may have a knock on your door beginning December 14.
A volunteer group made up of locals plans to scour the neighborhoods to build support for CSpire's Fiber to the Home initiative.
The city who becomes the first CSpire community will enjoy fiber optic technology.
The winners will have Internet speeds up to 100 times faster than they have now.
The competition is intense.
Nine cities are competing for the service, including Starkville.
"We hope that all the cities eventually get the fiber, but of course, we would like to be first," The Alliance Community Development Director Andrea Rose said.
