KOSSUTH, Miss. (AP) -- Two children were injured when they apparently tried to run across Mississippi Highway 2 and ran into the side of a truck.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol tells The Daily Corinthian the unidentified youngsters were treated for minor injuries after the incident on Wednesday.
Authorities said the two were trying to cross the highway about 3:15 p.m. and ran into a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a Corinth woman.
Investigators said the children apparently didn't see the vehicle. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
