CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- Corinth held its 23rd Annual Hog Wild Barbecue Competition Saturday.

More than 40 barbecue teams from Tennessee, Alabama and our area have been cooking and competing to win prizes since Wednesday.

Saturday was the main competition day for these cooks.

Judges sampled all sorts of barbecued briskets, porks and chicken throughout the day.

The judges were local celebrities and some of them were Kansas City Barbecue Society members.

The woman who put all of this together says she hopes to see the festival get even bigger next year.

"We are looking to expand down a little further than we are down here," Corinth Downtown Main Street Director Taylor Coombs said. "I hope that we can get up to 50 teams. That may be wishful thinking due to space, but it is growing every year."
