ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Corinth man has pleaded guilty for his role in an effort to establish an illegal drug distribution network in north  Mississippi.

Kenneth Scales, 48, entered the guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Scales is one of 10 people arrested in the investigation into an effort to sale cocaine and marijuana in Chickasaw and Lee County.

Authorities say the group was working together to expand the network of customers in the effort to obtain a large amount of money.

Scales will be sentenced at a later date.
