MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WTVA) -- The state of Alabama is reporting a drop in unemployment in the state.
The latest numbers for October put the level at 8.1 percent, a four-tenths of a percentage over the same month last year.
Franklin County sits at 8.7 percent, Lamar County at 8.2 percent, Marion County at 9.4 percent, and Pickens County at 9.5%.
The unemployment rate in Alabama was 8.2 percent in September.
