WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) – The City of West Point experienced a brief power outage in parts of the city Thursday.
The city’s Chief Administrative Officer Randy Jones says the outage affected a five to six-block area of the city.
An issue with a power breaker could have been the cause.
The power has since been restored following a 30 to 45-minute outage.
Also, people as far away as Aberdeen reported hearing a loud boom. It's unclear at this time if the West Point outage is related to this sound.
This is a developing story.
