UPDATE: Reward offered following fatal Thanksgiving Day shooting

A reward is now being offered following the fatal Thanksgiving Day shooting outside the Trotter Convention Center.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) – The City of Columbus is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the fatal shooting outside the Trotter Convention Center.

The shooting happened on Thursday, November 23 on Fifth Street. Cordell Deshaun Lewis of Columbus died at Baptist Memorial Hospital following the shooting.

Police say the shooting happened after a party ended at the center.

“There was a large crowd at the event and we believe someone saw something,” said Columbus Police Chief Oscar Lewis. “We need that person to come forward and identify the person or persons responsible for this shooting.”
