TRAFFIC ALERT: U-Haul fire causes delays on I-22 near Fulton

A U-Haul truck caught fire near Fulton Thursday evening causing major traffic delays on the westbound side of Interstate 22.

UPDATE: The Mississippi Highway Patrol said no injuries were reported and traffic has returned to normal. Still no word on what caused the fire.

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A U-Haul truck caught fire near Fulton Thursday evening causing major traffic delays on the westbound side of Interstate 22.

The fire was west of the city, and the backup of traffic was as long as two miles.

It's not clear when the charred truck will be moved from the roadway.

There's no word of any injuries.
