Okolona man accused of breaking New York sheriff deputy's nose

An Okolona man is accused of assaulting a Genesee County sheriff deputy during a Jason Alden concert in upstate New York.

BATAVIA, New York  (WTVA) -- An Okolona man has been arrested for assault on a police officer in New York. 

Robert Maharrey, 23, is accused of head-butting a Genesee County sheriff deputy at the Jason Aldean concert Friday night and breaking the deputy's nose. 

Genesee County Sergeant Thomas Sanfrantello says the incident happened at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center which is 30 miles east of Buffalo. 

Marharrey was arraigned in Darien Town Court and jailed on a $25,000 bond.

Sanfrantello says additional charges are pending.
