UPDATE: Missing Pontotoc County children found safe

Both kids have been found safe.

Update 5:08 p.m. - Pontotoc County EMA Director Ricky Jaggers confirms both children have been found safe.

Pontotoc County Fire Coordinator Adam Patton says it appears both kids were apparently playing and wandered away from their home on Highway 9 South.

The call came into 911 at 3:21 p.m.

Responders quickly began a search. The little girl was found approximately 300 yards from the home at 3:42 p.m.

The boy was found by crews shortly before 5 p.m. He was walking back toward the home.

Patton says the kids appear to be fine, but they are being checked by medical personnel.

RANDOLPH, Miss. (WTVA) - Crews are out searching for a missing little boy in Pontotoc County.

Pontotoc County EMA Director Ricky Jaggers confirms crews are out searching in the Randolph community.

This comes after a report of two missing children.

However, Jaggers confirms one of the children, a little girl, has been found.

Crews are using drones and search personnel to help search.

If you see a suspicious child wandering in the Randolph community, please call 911.
