Fayette County crash kills young man

Alcohol may have been a factor in a fatal crash in Fayette County, Alabama.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVA) - Alcohol may have been a factor in a fatal crash in Fayette County, Alabama. 

According to the Alabama Highway Patrol, the crash happened Monday, June 11 sometime near 10:45 p.m. on County Road 80 at the intersection of County Road 85. 

Troopers say a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado ran through a stop sign, hit a tree and caught fire. 

The driver of the truck, Dylan Keith Harkins, 23, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

Denver James Turner, 21, was a passenger in the truck. He was killed as a result.
