Tupelo police investigating reported armed robbery at mall

Tupelo police are looking for surveillance video after a reported armed robbery at the Mall at Barnes Crossing.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tupelo police are looking for surveillance video after a reported armed robbery at the Mall at Barnes Crossing.

According to Tupelo police, officers responded to the mall on Friday, May 18 sometime near 8:30 p.m.

The reported robbery occurred at the shoe store Journeys. A store employee told police a man robbed the store of a single pair of shoes.

"The employee stated that a handgun was displayed during the robbery," police stated.

The man is described as a black male, standing 6'0" in height with short black hair and wearing a white T-shirt and skinny jeans.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Tupelo police say they are working with the mall's security in an attempt locate surveillance video.
