Columbus police confirm Billy Ray Parker was found safe at the Salvation Army in Tupelo.

UPDATE: Columbus police confirm Billy Ray Parker was found safe at the Salvation Army in Tupelo. Police say someone gave him a ride there. He was unharmed.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Monroe County man who was last seen in Columbus.

Columbus police are asking for help locating Billy Ray Parker, 52.

Parker was last seen on Saturday when he was discharged from Baptist Memorial Hospital. Police say he was supposed to have gone home but has not been heard from.

Police say Parker is on medication for dementia.
