TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Four people from Florida face grand larceny charges in Tupelo.

On Tuesday, Tupelo police released more information about Saturday’s pursuit, which ended with a vehicle crashing near North Front Street.

On that day at approximately 4:30 p.m., Tupelo police attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Equinox near Front Street and Franklin Street.

“The vehicle and a partial tag had been dispatched earlier as being part of a grand larceny case at 2270 West Main (Walmart),” police stated.

The driver of the vehicle pulled over and stopped, but as officers approached the vehicle, it sped away.

Officers pursued the vehicle north on Front Street where it crashed near the entrance to Highway 45 southbound.

Police say two people inside the vehicle ran away and two others remained with the crashed vehicle.

Officers were able to capture the two who fled.

“The investigation indicated that all four occupants had been engaged in felony theft from Walmart West Main,” stated Tupelo police.

Police identified the four as:

  • Bernard Rogers, 21 – charged with grand larceny and felony fleeing
  • Jeu’Quann Ralph, 19, of Riverview, FL. – charged with grand larceny
  • Carlos Goodman, 23, of Tampa, FL. – charged with grand larceny
  • Kimiah Grayes, 25, of Gibsonton, FL – charged with grand larceny

Police identified Rogers as the driver.

Lee County Judge Chuck Hopkins set a $10,000 bond for Ralph, Goodman and Grayes. Rogers’ bond was set at $20,000.

Additional charges are possible.
