Drew Powell joined the WTVA News department in 2008 as a photographer.  In 2009 Drew moved to the other side of the camera as a reporter.  This isn't the first time he's worked on-air.  Drew worked as a sports reporter and anchor prior to his move to WTVA.

Drew was born in South Florida but spent the first ten years of his life living in the Bahamas.  His family then moved to the San Francisco Bay area.

Drew is a diehard college sports fan and cheers hard for West Virginia, Cal, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.  You'll also find Drew trying out a variety of restaurants around North Mississippi, especially if it serves lobster!

Drew credits his father and uncle for teaching him the value of hard work.  He lives in Tupelo with his wife and two daughters.
