Elk Foundation event
The Tombigbee Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will hold a banquet and fundraiser at the Summit Conference Center on November 7, 2009. Doors to the event will open at 6 pm for a social hour which will include drawings, raffles, games, and a silent auction.
Dinner will be served at 7 pm followed by a live auction.
The Elk Foundation emphasizes protection and enhancement of critical elk habitat in states with free ranging elk herds but a portion of the funds raised in non-elk states are kept at home to benefit local conservation education and hunting heritage activities.
Since 1984, the Elk foundation has permanently protected more than 5.5 million acres of critical elk habitat. We’ve opened more than 500,000 acres of previously closed lands for the public to hunt, fish, and roam. Thru the efforts of the Elk foundation elk have been introduced into several states east of the Mississippi River including Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina.
If you love the outdoors and want to support this great cause please join us on November 7, 2009 for our banquet. Call Forrest Barber at 662-365-7831 for more information and reservations.
